At the first meeting for 2015, the executive welcome Stephen Richter to the committee.
Stephen, the General Manager of well-known local firm, S. J. Cheesman, will not only add a new face but bring a new business sector to the table.
The executive again discussed a wide range of issues which affect Port Pirie, including the upgrade of the Memorial Oval area, boat ramp, Nyrstar Transformation progress, traing programs initiated by RDA and future networking evening.
An interesting discussion took place regarding the beautifying of the city.
President Mark Hanlon is keen for the Chamber to be involved in any such project which could be implemented. One idea was to have local business or citizens to “buy a Tree.” Chamber will discuss this further at its next meeting.
Chamber is open to ideas and any member who would like to make any suggestions is welcome to bring them forward. Simply put your ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org
