President Mark reported there had been several positive meetings re the ‘Come See Change’ launch. The launch will be held at PADARC on February 1, starting at 6.30 pm. Tickets are $50 per head.

Council CEO Andrew Johnson told the meeting that demolition work at the Memorial Oval precinct would start on Monday, January 16 and McMahon’s had the contract. No contract has been let for construction work, which is expected to take two years to complete. A. Johnson also reported work on the CBD and Wandearah road was proceeding as planned.

The meeting discussed the numerous complaints from householders and traders re phone outages. It was generally considered that that the NBN roll out was causing problems.
